Bread is one of my guilty pleasures. It is the breakfast staple in my home.
It has about 79 calories per slice.
It is that which can be made into a sandwich or dipped into milk and cocoa for a snack.
When i first started my diet, one of the things i eliminated was bread and it sure did make a difference. I mean its like “duh” bread is carbs, you should eliminate it in a diet, true talk but for me, here is why.
- Bread makes you accumulate water weight when it is consumed and also makes you bloated.
- Bread is hard to digest and skipping it once a while will definitely improve digestion.
- Bread spikes of blood sugar level and this is not good, it can also leave you feeling tired. The reason is because it is a complex sugar which is hard to digest. Whole wheat bread is good for weight loss and also reduces belly fat because it is full of fiber and also contains protein which is good for burning fat.
